🌟 Dear Friends and Supporters of Nourishing Lives, 🌟
It's with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of our beloved Nourishing Lives. Despite our best efforts, the challenges of funding, venue, and staffing have led us to this decision.
But before we turn the lights off one last time, we want to shout out the real heroes of our journey: YOU. 🦸♂️🦸♀️
To our donors: Your generosity has been the lifeblood of our organization. Your contributions have fueled our mission and made a real impact in our community. Thank you for believing in us when it mattered most.
To our volunteers: You've been the backbone of our operations, the ones who showed up, rolled up your sleeves, and got things done. Your dedication and passion have been nothing short of inspiring. Thank you for being the heartbeat of Nourishing Lives.
While this may be the end of one chapter, let it be the start of something new. Let's carry the spirit of Nourishing Lives forward, knowing that the work we've done together will continue to ripple out into the world.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for being part of this incredible journey. Your support has meant the world to us.
With deepest gratitude,
----The Board of Nourishing Lives 🌟
In 2009, we received a grant to begin a Pack-A-Sack program to initiate a community, church, and school connection. Our vision was to feed Broward County School children in need over the weekend when school meals were not accessible. We committed to do as much as we could, for as long as we could, and for as many as we could in love. Many years later, we have committed to serving over 10 schools and expanded our initiative to help families within our surrounding community.
Each bag presented consists of nourishment for the tummy, love for the heart, and hope for the mind.
According to the South Florida Hunger Coalition, over 80,000 children in Broward County are food insecure. Our goal is that no child in Broward County goes hungry. By building bridges in the community to connect churches, schools, businesses, and civic organizations, we hope to build a community in action supporting our best resource-- our children.
Currently serving over 400 children each week.
