Our Director

Peytyn Tobin is an Associate Pastor at New Horizon United Methodist Church. She has an B.S. in Economics from the University of Tennessee (1992) and an MA of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (2015). She has worked in children’s ministry since 2003. In 2008 she founded Pack-A-Sack, a program to feed needy children, with a $1,000 grant from the Lockmiller Foundation. That initial grant served ten food-insecure children throughout the school-year, but has multiplied twenty times (2,000%) over the past decade to serve 200 children today. Peytyn has achieved her objective of creating an infrastructure in south Florida of resources for food-on-demand: a network that would continue to grow in volunteers, resources, leadership and love. She has been featured on NBC 6 News  and won the Hands On Broward Change Maker Award for Impact on Youth in the Community.
